Cross country snowmobiling is a passion of ours! Although it's actually hard work, and there's a lot to learn and master, it's all well worth the effort. It is so much fun and the scenery is absolutely gorgeous!

We have a lot of beautiful pictures from our snowmobiling trips. Everybody always enjoys looking at them. People paint a picture in their mind's eye of going snowmobiling themselves. Often they do!

After we've been out riding across the mountains for a few hours, nothing tastes better that a hot cup of apple cider or hot chocolate. So, among many other things, we carry a big thermos in our saddle bags.

Then at night, after returning to the cabin, comes the long, hot, relaxing showers. Then we really enjoy watching movies on the vcr.

As much as I enjoy snowmobiling, I also enjoy networking. In fact, over the years it has been networking that has given me the finances and the time to go snowmobiling. Also my beliefs systems are parallel about the two. If think that if anyone really understood (and the key here is "really understanding") cross country snowmobiling, barring any physical preventatives, how could they help but not want to do it? Likewise, if someone really understands the opportunity associated with networking, they would most certainly want to become a part of it.

The thoughts and activities having to do with snowmobiling presented above, I think make excellent points about "recruiting" people into a networking business.

  • Just as we learn techniques and gain experience to really enjoy snowmobiling, you have to do the same thing to really enjoy and be successful in your networking business. If you're not willing to put out the effort, you probably won't ever reap all the benefits from the activity.

  • If you want somebody to join your business, you have to give them the information and help them picture themselves in your business. It's just like the snowmobile pictures we show, giving friends a way to be able to paint themselves into that picture. "If they can't see themselves in your business, most likely they won't be in it!"

  • With the thermos, we open it up in the morning to pour the liquid in and we also unscrew the cups and top to pour the liquid out. Sometimes you have to open someone up to receiving what you have to offer. That may mean first explaining all the good things about networking in general. Often people with preconceived notions don't really know the fabulous truth about networking and the wonderful benefits it has to offer people. And when it comes time for this person to function within your business and build their own business, they have to open up and be receptive to information, guidance, training and help.

  • Have you ever tried to put a tape in a VCR and a tape is already in it? That simply reminds you that often you have to get something out, before you can get something in. Sometimes you're going to have to work with your people to remove misconceptions and bad habits so that new information can be taken in.

Be a student of the system. The system is simply learning all you can about what you're doing, working hard to put it to use, and sharing what you know with others. That way you in turn learn from others, enjoy the activity and become good at it. Also learn to listen to others about themselves, before you try to tell them about you. You may often find the need for some opening up and exchanges before you try to put new information and activity in. Remember, good on top of bad still leaves bad as the foundation.

Go have fun with your business, and share your knowledge and share the fun with others. You'll be on the way to a great activity and to building a good business. (Remember to call us when you want to go snowmobiling!)
